Impact City

Context

This project was part of my internship at Acato to practice my personal learning goal of Animation. My role in this project was to make a case video of around 1 minute which showcases the most important changes Acato has made to the new website of Impact City. Impact City provides business services and a network for start-ups, scale-ups, and investors in The Hague to help businesses grow.

Approach

This video was the first more extensive animation project I took on. To reach the end goal of a case video I took the following steps:

• Create a plan for the necessary steps

• Plan meetings with designers and the project manager of this project

• Define the content of the video (screen recordings and sound)

• Create a concept and storyboard for the video

• Edit and animate the video in After Effects

Final Video

Below you can see the final version of the video. I got very inspired by the diagonal cut in the logo of ImpactCity and thought it would make a great way to make transitions using diagonal cuts throughout the video.
